Large Groups or Institutions

Dirtbag Climbing Corp also loves to work closely with other groups and organisations to host programs for their kids. Some examples include but are not limited to: Adult retreats or adventures, team building experiences, school groups, cadets, and not-for-profits. If you want your group to get on our list, don't hesitate to reach out!

Adult Program Development

We're still calibrating our adult programs. Any dreams can be turned into reality, climbing wise.. If you want personal coaching or training, educational community sessions, climbing socials, or anything else you can think of - don't hesitate to bring it to our attention!

Kids

Exposure Camp

The ultimate 5 day summer camp adventure. Based from the town of Golden, kids will experience 3 days of outdoor top-rope climbing, broken up by 2 days in the town site working on food security and other educational outdoor activities. Suitable for kids who have never climbed. Ages 5 to 8 and 9 to 12 (must have completed kindergarten).

Immersion Camp

The next step for those who have aged, or otherwise grown out of our Exposure Camp program. An intro to our leadership development programs, this session is another full 5 day camp focusing on more complex climbing related technical and movement skills. As well as a focus on leadership and teaching methods. We sprinkle some food security in there too! It includes 1 day in town and 1 day at the local outdoor climbing venue, followed by 2 nights (3 days) camping and climbing in Spillimacheen. Ages 13+

After School Spring Program

This program runs April, May and June, weather dependant. This is a natural progression out of the seasonal indoor programs. For ages 8-12.

Dirtbag Climbing Crew

For ages 13 through 19. Our most adaptable and evolving program. Constantly adjusted to support and nourish the growth of our teens as they age out of our other program options. It takes form through a variety of opportunities, of varying lengths and commitments including, but not limited to:

  • indoor and outdoor programs

  • volunteering with the gym and/or younger kids

  • youth lead climbing development

  • outdoor bouldering

  • traditional climbing skills and safety

  • multi-pitching programs/experiences

  • camping trips

  • food security. backcountry eating, and regenerative agriculture

All of the above programs focus on leadership and team building as core concepts. As our crew grows and ages into certification age, we intend on providing opportunities and support for the following:

  • Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) 16+

  • Wilderness First Responder (WFR) 16+

  • Climbing Gym Instructor Level 1 (ACMG) 16+

  • Climbing Gym Instructor Level 2 (ACMG) 16+

  • Top Rope Climbing Instructor (ACMG) 19+

The intention with this is, of course, setting youth up with work experience and certifications for work with Dirtbag or wherever they may end up. All high level rock skills are instructed by our resident ACMG Rock Guide.
