Our 'outer work'
The Dirtbag Climbing Corporation strives to create and maintain community connections. We can only change the systems in which we live, if we work more collaboratively towards common goals. Below are some of the current and past projects Dan has been/is a part of.
Since the incorporation of the Dirtbag brand (and beyond), Dan has been volunteering his time on various projects and initiatives. Below is a list of some of the positions and roles we have contributed to:
-Board Chair of Homing Inc. Community Land Trust
-President of Golden Chamber of Commerce
-Convener of Golden Opportunity Collective (a multi-sectoral approach to poverty reduction)
-Board Director of Local Food Matters
-Seed Swap Committee
-Farmer's Market Advisory Committee
-Power of Produce Kids Club
-Youth Network Advisory Committee
Dan also coaches Nordic Skiing to school groups through Dawn Mountain Nordic Club on top of climbing programs. School programs are provided in both French and English.
