Meet the Team
All climbing instructors and guides have been certified through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). Climbing instructors have a minimum of a Top Rope Climbing Instructor Certificate (TRCI), and programs are supervised by director and full Rock Guide (RG), Dan Geddes.
Director & Head Guide
Dan Geddes
Originally from Alberta, Dan found his way to Golden, BC and started Dirtbag Climbing Corp. When he's not on the rock, you can find him in the garden or volunteering his time to multiple boards around town. For more information on Dan, check out the History of Dirtbag.
Team Lead & Climbing Instructor
Chelsea OW
Originally from Plymouth, Chelsea is a creative soul and a dedicated cat mom. Chelsea aims to facilitate positive experiences for others through climbing. Understanding the benefits of the sport on one's mental health as it explores problem solving, mindfulness and immerses you in an inspiring, welcoming and encouraging community.
Team Lead & Climbing Instructor
David Magee
After finishing a diploma in the Outdoor Adventure industry at Algonquin College, David moved to BC to put his guiding skills to the test. He likes to spend his days at the crag, from sport climbing to trad and everything in between. He enjoys both the mental and the physical challenges that climbing has to offer.
Climbing Instructor
Walker Rangen
Walker has spent most of his life playing in the Rockies surrounding the Crowsnest Pass and neighbouring communities to the west. His favourite style of climbing is techy face climbing! With a background in Adventure Tourism studies, and outdoor education, he loves all things outdoors.
Climbing Instructor
Chloe Colbo
Chloe grew up climbing with her Dad around Nova Scotia. Climbing has always had a huge impact on her life. She especially loves pushing herself physically sport climbing. She spent last winter in Japan snowboarding, which is her second passion. She also loves yoga, art, hiking, surfing and just generally being in nature.
Youth Program Coordinator
Emily Russell
Emily loves climbing for the slow, mindful movements, becoming aware of what is happening and being thoughtful. It also scares the heck out of her and is a good exercise in overcoming fear. When she’s not parenting two rambunctious little ones, baking sourdough or making music, she might be tending the garden or exploring the forest.
